'I've been getting away with it all my life'

I'm lucky enough to have what I often describe as the best job in the BBC and I still can't work out how I've pulled it off. All I know is that I'm still here, 14 years later, totally unqualified, no prior training experience, getting away with it on a just work ethic of 'try hard and be nice'.
